Fr. Peter Chefor delivered a spiritually enriching homily, feeding the congregation with the Word of God. He then presided over the Liturgy of the Eucharist, consecrating and distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to the faithful in what was described as a profoundly moving and grace-filled moment. Attendees experienced a deep sense of renewal and connection as the new priest shared this first sacramental ministry in a setting tied to education and family heritage.

Following the Mass, Mr. Joseph Mubang hosted a solidarity meal for all present, fostering fellowship and joy after the sacred rite. This act of hospitality underscored the Mubang family’s commitment to nurturing community bonds and supporting spiritual vocations.

The occasion held special significance for the Mubang lineage. Joining Mr. Joseph Mubang was Mr. Michael Mubang, the Proprietor of St. Frederick Comprehensive High School. Together, they expressed profound pride in the enduring legacy of their late father, Pa Frederick Mubang, who founded the school as a pillar of education and moral formation in Mankon, Bamenda. The event served as a living tribute to Pa Frederick’s vision, blending faith, learning, and service in a way that continues to inspire generations.

Held just days after the Chrism Mass announcements of major healthcare contributions (including pledges for St. Blaise Catholic Hospital), this First Mass highlighted Dr. Mubang’s multifaceted philanthropy—extending from medical aid and education to spiritual and communal support. In a region facing ongoing challenges, such moments of celebration and gratitude reinforce hope, unity, and the power of giving back.

The gathering reflected the foundation’s broader ethos: honoring faith traditions, empowering youth through education, and building resilient communities rooted in compassion and shared heritage.
