OUR VISION
To create an inclusive society where every individual, regardless of background or ability, has the opportunity to thrive with dignity and purpose.
OUR MISSION
The JF Mubang Foundation is committed to reaching out to the underprivileged, persons with disabilities, and those in need of psychosocial support.
JF Mubang Foundation is out to keep a lasting legacy in the following areas:
OUR HISTORY
The JF Mubang Foundation is a philanthropic organization based in Cameroon, focused on community development in the North West Region. It was established by Dr. Joseph Mubang, a prominent entrepreneur and philanthropist who serves as its Founder and CEO. After spending over four decades in the United States, he decided to return and serve his community by giving back to the local population.
The foundation has been carrying out humanitarian activities for many years but was officially registered as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Cameroon more recently. It maintains active offices in both Cameroon (T-Junction, Bamenda) and the US (Eastern Avenue NW, Suite 211, Washington, DC 20012).

OUR PROGRAM AREAS
The JF Mubang Foundation is dedicated to transforming lives in the North West Region of Cameroon and beyond through targeted, compassionate programs that address immediate needs while building long-term resilience and inclusion. Our work centers on six core program areas, each designed to uplift underserved communities, promote dignity, and foster hope amid regional challenges.
Health Access & Medical Support
We work to bring quality healthcare closer to families, especially in underserved neighborhoods and rural areas. Through major donations of medical equipment—such as historic shipments valued at hundreds of millions of FCFA to facilities like St. Blaise Catholic Hospital and commitments to support the Bamenda Regional Hospital—the foundation bridges critical gaps in medical infrastructure and access. These efforts ensure that essential care reaches those who might otherwise go without, improving health outcomes and saving lives in communities facing limited resources.
Inclusive Education & Learning Opportunities
Education remains one of the most powerful ways to break cycles of poverty and exclusion. The foundation promotes inclusive learning environments that welcome all children, regardless of background or ability. By supporting educational initiatives and building on potential family legacies in schooling (such as connections to institutions like St. Frederick Mubang College), we invest in the next generation, equipping individuals with knowledge and skills to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
Youth, Sports & Peace-building
We believe sport and youth engagement can bring people together, build character, and promote peace. In a region affected by ongoing tensions, the foundation champions youth programs and sports as tools for unity and positive development. Celebrating achievements like the PWD Bamenda football team’s successes, we support activities that foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, and community cohesion, helping young people channel energy constructively while contributing to broader peace efforts.
Pilgrimage, Evangelism & Faith-Based Support
Faith and spiritual life are central to the strength and identity of many communities we serve. The foundation actively participates in and supports religious pilgrimages, evangelistic efforts, and faith-based initiatives—such as donations during events like the Mater Redemptoris Pilgrimage and assistance tied to church ordinations and community celebrations. These programs honor spiritual traditions, provide emotional and communal support, and reinforce the cultural and moral fabric that sustains resilience in challenging times.
Disability Inclusion & Accessibility
We are committed to a society where persons with disabilities are fully respected, included, and empowered. Through direct financial and material support—such as multi-million FCFA empowerment grants to individuals with disabilities during events like “Wearing the Bell”—and advocacy for accessibility, the foundation works to remove barriers, promote equal opportunities, and ensure that persons with disabilities can participate fully in community life with dignity.
Psychosocial Support & Emotional Wellbeing
Many people carry unseen burdens—especially in communities affected by long-term crisis and hardship. The foundation provides psychosocial care and emotional support to help individuals heal from trauma, stress, and adversity. By addressing mental and emotional health needs alongside physical ones, we restore inner strength, build coping mechanisms, and support overall wellbeing in environments where such services are often scarce.
These program areas reflect the foundation’s holistic approach: combining practical interventions with advocacy, faith-inspired compassion, and community-driven solutions. Under the leadership of Dr. Joseph Mubang, we continue to expand our impact, guided by the principle that true progress comes from empowering those who need it most.
